Inspiration
Every artist is inspired by something that makes them get out and want to do what they do. My inspiration is nature. Most of my work is shot in the Rocky Mountains, which span several states in the USA. From the jagged horizons to the wildlife, to the skies and rocky waterfalls and the seasonal changes, the mountains call me. While sold as art, the photos I capture are things you could actually see if you were in those same locations with me.
The Shot
The thing about taking nature photos is the view is never the same twice. Sometimes a shot starts with an idea and it can be planned, but most of my shots are captured in the moment, and my goal is to bring what captured me in that moment to life in the photos you see. It is my hope that some of what moves me in a view also touches you. That is what you are putting on your wall when you buy one of my prints.
